Potatis gillar soligt läge samt lätta samt väldränerade mark. Sätt både tidiga samt sena sorter så besitter du personlig potatis beneath en längre tid.

Förgroning från sättpotatis ger tidigare samt större skörd. Börja tre-fyra veckor före utplantering. Lägg sättpotatisarna på brickor alternativt i äggkartonger i en ljust utrymme som helst inte är varmare än grader. Förgroningen ger sättpotatisen möjlighet för att utveckla groddar. Dessa bör bli ,5 cm samt knubbiga. angående du önskar ha ännu bättre effekt ska ni förgro på jord. Då utvecklar potatisen även rötter som ni sedan lossar försiktigt när du bör plantera ut.

Plantera ut när jorden är grader. rotfrukt gillar ej frost så om frosten hotar någon natt bör du skydda med fiberduk eller liknande. Skulle blasten frysa så får ni troligen ändå skörd dock den kommer senare. Plantera knappt 10 cm djupt.

Kupa upp mark runt plantan två gånger under sommaren för för att undvika för att potatisen utsätts för solen. Håll jämn f

Red Emmalie Seed Potatoes

Red Emmalie is a true genius potato. Aparrently, it is a cross between two of my favourite varieties, Highland Burgundy and Ratte. At first I was suspicious. Potato has a complex genome. When you cross varieties, you can&#;t always get predictable results. Could it be? Could we have a new potato, combining the genius of both parents? Short answer: Yes. The breeder, German Karsten Ellenberg, should win potato breeding prizes. (Now I want to try Violetta too!)

Long answer: I was suspicious at first. My Highland Burgundy got tuber blight. Turns out Red Emmalie is just as vulnerable to the same blights. The first plant I plucked, had to be tossed. Blighted tubers. I was also suspecting that I&#;d get low yields like Highland Burgundy, and a poorer texture like Ratte. So, to rescue my crop, I decided to pull up all my plants. I had planted them late, and they were only half grown, but &#;new&#; potatoes would have to do. Thankfully, thats where the suspicions ended.

I pulled up a plant, and to my absolute shock, the yield was ENORMOUS. This plant had no tuber blight. Instead, I got Kg of absolutely whopping huge potatoes. Totally no signs of pest or dise
