Harrods is a Grade II listed luxury department store on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London, England. It was designed by C. W. Stephens for Charles Digby Harrod, and opened in ; it replaced the first store on the grounds founded by his father Charles Henry Harrod in , which burned down in The store spans 1,, square feet (,m2) of selling space, making it the largest department store in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Harrods is one of the most famous department stores worldwide, attracting 15 million visitors annually as of [update].[1][2][3]

Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed (arabiska: مد الفايد), född 27 januari i Alexandria, Egypten, död 30 augusti i London,[1] var ett egyptiskaffärsman samt miljardär, huvudsakligen verksam inom Storbritannien. han skrev egen sitt namn Mohamed al-Fayed, där förledet al existerar ett arabiskt namnled vilket somliga (exempelvis tidskriften Private Eye) ansåg att han inte ägde rätt mot.
Fayed ägde många stora företag, mot exempel varuhuset Harrods inom Knightsbridge inom London vilket han ägde från fram till , då Fayed sålde varuhuset till Qatar Holding.[2] Sedan ägde Fayed den engelska fotbollsklubben Fulham FC.[3]
Han fanns fram mot sin död gift tillsammans den finska före detta modellen Heini Wathén samt hade fyra barn vilket fortfarande existerar i livet: Jasmine, Karim, Camilla samt Omar. en femte små människor, Dodi, omkom i enstaka bilolycka inom Paris ; samma tragedi som tog prinsessan Dianas liv.[4] Dodi Fayed samt prinsessan Diana hade en förhållande.[5]
